Bug Concept

For my bug concept I decided to base my design of a humanoid spider, I really wanted to do this in photoshop after I finished my design sheet of my spider, I really tried focusing on the proportions first of by having a couple of light sketches that then going improved later on. I really tried to make my spider look at human as possible and I did this by making his arms and legs almost human, giving the spider the same amount of joints as human would. To make my spider look more human I gave him accessories like a top hate and cane along with backpack to give him the look of a travelling hitch hiker. I feel I let my imagination go wild with this piece and after looking back I am not sure why I made him into a human, however next time I will definitely focus on making a detailed bug rather then doing my own thing.
