Tentacle creature

When creating my tentacle creature I found it quite hard to start the initial design progress because I was unsure of the shape of my creature, I tried numerous designs of making it an ammonite fossil with the flat she'll then moved onto making it more like a squid. The finally though progress by my final design (drawing at the top) is that it would swim like a jelly fish by bobbing up and down in the ocean but have the look of a squid.
